Hancock Golf Course

811 East 41st Street
Austin, TX 78751
The Hancock Golf Course stands today as one of the oldest golf courses in the state of Texas. At one time, the course maintained sand greens and 18 holes.

Today, Hancock Golf Course is located in the heart of Austin; this par 35, 9-hole course carries up and down hills and over beautiful Waller Creek. The old course is relatively short by modern standards, featuring small, well-manicured greens typical of the era in which it was built.

Jimmy Clay - Roy Kizer Golf Courses

5400 Jimmy Clay Drive
Austin, TX 78744
The Jimmy Clay Golf Course was constructed and opened in 1974; designed by noted golf course architect Joe Finger. Located in Southeast Austin and surrounded by Williamson Creek, the course plays 6,918 yards through traditional tree-lined fairways and elevated open greens.

In 2007, Jimmy Clay underwent major renovations of three holes that were redesigned to include a challenging water feature near an island green. During that time, all of the greens were replanted and bunkers completely rebuilt.

The Jimmy Clay Golf Course became part of a 36-hole complex with the addition of the Roy Kizer Golf Course in 1994. Together, the two courses make up one of the finest and diverse 36 hole public complexes in the state.
The 18-hole "Kizer" course at the Jimmy Clay-Roy Kizer Municipal Golf Courses facility in Austin, Texas features 6,857 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 72.1 and it has a slope rating of 124 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Randolph Russell, the Kizer golf course opened in 1994.
